TMG Emerges Top Winner of 2009 Pearl Awards
- TMG captures 19 awards from the Custom Publishing Council and Sweeps Web Category -
Washington, DC (November 18, 2009)-TMG (formerly The Magazine Group) dominated this year's Pearl Awards with 19 awards in a broad range of categories. At a ceremony in New York last week, only three months after TMG rebranded and changed its name from The Magazine Group to reflect its growing number of online services, the leading custom publisher was rewarded with six Pearls in digital categories including the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for Best Web Publication.
Sponsored by the Custom Publishing Council, the sixth annual Pearl Awards saluted the best in design, editorial and strategic initiatives for B2B and consumer custom publications. A panel of marketing executives, academics, journalists, designers, corporate strategists and publishers evaluated 469 entries.
"TMG's success at the 2009 Pearl Awards mirrors the significant year we've had," said Jane Ottenberg, President, TMG. "After 28 years we've changed our name, launched several print magazines, produced more than 50 videos and revamped dozens of web sites, including our own."
TMG has won 77 Pearl Awards since 2004. This year's accolades include:
